QUOTE OF THE WEEK re: The FBI and QUOTE from Meridian, Mississippi's New Police Chief

Here is an interesting quote I came across regarding the FBI’s inaction which could have saved the lives of the three civil rights workers (James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, and Mickey Schwerner), back in 1964: 

“Now, we had a code within the COFO movement that said if you were detained more than twenty minutes, you call in. Regardless of where you are, call in, because we had to know as best we could where you are.
“OK. Twenty minutes passed, no call, twenty minutes more passed, no call. The dispatcher called me to tell me that the three kids were missing, and they couldn't find them. I called the FBI in Meridian and asked them for help.
“My request to them was to call every jail between Meridian and Philadelphia to see if they were there. Really, the philosophy was, if they were there, that the jailer would have much less a desire, or well, would have had less activity toward dealing with them negatively, if he knew the FBI was looking for them.
“The answer I got back was that ‘You haven't proven they've been carried across the state line nor have they been absent 24 hours, so consequently the FBI cannot become involved.’
“I will always hold the FBI responsible for the murder of the three because a simple phone call would have done it.”

ONCE AGAIN, THE FEDS DO NOTHING 

Apparently the victims of the hate crimes/cover-up in Meridian, Mississippi are still getting “the runaround” from law enforcement and government as they continue to try to get something done about the denial of equal protection under the law which they have experienced and are continuing to experience. 

At a recent meeting some of the victims had with the new police chief in Meridian, the chief said: 

“An arson against a church?  That’s a hate crime.” 

Then he said, “The FBI is supposed to investigate that.”  

They asked him if he would call the FBI.   He said no.  He told them to call the FBI and ask for the SAC (Special Agent in Charge) at the FBI.  They did, and told the FBI that the Chief of the Meridian Police Department had told them to do so, but were told that nobody can just call and speak with the SAC.  So then the victims asked to make an appointment to see someone.  They were told that the FBI doesn’t make appointments, that they needed to just go there and someone would see them.  

They drove from Meridian to Jackson and met with an agent who told them that the FBI was not going to investigate anything to do with their church arson or any of the other crimes against their church.   The agent told the victims that the FBI had already met with them last year, so they weren’t going to do anything.  

NOTE:  Jeanette Williams of the FBI had gone to Meridian last year and met with some of the victims in a meeting at the Meridian Police Station.  However, she was merely “fishing” for names of the victims’ witnesses (most likely so that someone could threaten or intimidate the witnesses to keep their mouths shut, as has been done in the past whenever the victims have given names). 

Jeanette Williams had already told the victims that she could not investigate Mayor Smith or anybody in city government or law enforcement in Meridian!!  (Of course, these are the very people whom CCIA alleges were involved in the cover-up of the arson against their church and are behind and fueling the slander campaign and media blackout which foster the environment of hatred against them leading to violence.) 

It was a futile meeting where the victims were only harassed.  She came there with no intention to do anything about investigating the victims’ allegations.  She obviously only went there so that she could say that she had met with the victims and therefore absolve the FBI from any responsibility. By the way, initially, when the Meridian Police Department was not investigating the arson against Christ’s Church In Action (CCIA), and Mayor John Robert Smith lied to the victims and never got back to them regarding this lack of investigation, and nobody in law enforcement and/or government would do anything about it (though numerous requests had been/were being made), the pastor and his wife had met with the FBI in Meridian.  This came about as a result of a plea they had made to Congressman Chip Pickering’s office.  An agent named Anderson was starting an investigation.  I will now quote from a document produced by CCIA: 

“We called the FBI numbers of times, to no avail.

“We had contacted Congressman Chip Pickering’s people also, and his people told us that he called the FBI.

“We were put in contact with an Agent Anderson, who seemed like a nice, honest young man.  We met with him at the FBI office on October 12, 2006.

“Subsequently, a new person was put on the case, an Agent Morrow.

“We had, in the meantime, met a man who is an independent government investigator.  When we told him about the FBI investigating, and mentioned Agent Morrow, he said, ‘Forget it, Morrow’s corrupt.’

“Sure enough, subsequently we got a call from Agent Anderson who informed us that the investigation was over.

“We were also told that Morrow was connected with Wade Phillips of WTOK, who had been uncooperative regarding covering the truth about the arson and other crimes, and had participated in the media blackout.” 

NOTE THIS TRICK, OR DISGUSTING TACTIC THAT HAS BEEN USED ON THESE AND OTHER VICTIMS:

1.      THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES DO NOT DO THEIR JOBS ACCORDING TO LAW.  NO INVESTIGATION IS DONE, ONLY A “FAKE” JOB, TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY DID ONE.

2.      THEN, WHEN THE VICTIMS TRY TO GET AN INVESTIGATION DONE, THEY RUN THE VICTIMS AROUND TO EVERY DIFFERENT AGENCY, ALL OF WHOM SAY IT IS NOT THEIR JOB AND RUN THE VICTIMS TO ANOTHER AGENCY, AND SO FORTH. 

3.      BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, YEARS GO BY WITH NOTHING BEING DONE.

4.      THEN, THE VICTIMS ARE TOLD:  “THAT CASE IS SO OLD…NO ONE WANTS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT NOW.”   AS IF IT’S THE VICTIMS’ FAULT! 

IT’S DISGUSTING!!

Also, that is a “tricky trick,” because, although the arson is “old,” having happened in 2003, the denial of equal protection under the law, the obstruction of justice, and the terror that the victims live in because they aren’t protected by the law enforcement agencies…are NOT OLD.  It is all current and ongoing.  And, it is not the victims’ job to investigate, arrest, prosecute, or anything else.  There are numbers of crimes being committed on an ongoing basis, and because the perpetrators of the past crimes have gotten away with it, the bad people know that anybody can do anything to CCIA’s members/attendees/pastor and his wife, and the police won’t do anything about it, and neither will the FBI. 

Why do think the murderers/conspirators in the murders of the three civil rights workers were never charged with murder, except for one unpopular guy that nobody really liked, Edgar Ray Killen? (And, DUH it took over 40 YEARS and he was a geezer by then, having lived a full good life up til then!) The murderers and conspirators, with very few exceptions, walked around scott-free for the rest of their lives, spent time with their loved ones, ate good food, and passed on without ever being brought to justice.  The ones that are left walking around are dying off at this point. Even those who were prosecuted under other statutes or other cases merely got a slap on the wrist compared to what they deserved. 

Did you know that the victims can’t bring complaints of any kind to the police department in Meridian, Mississippi?  They won’t take a complaint from them. They were thrown out by a Lieutenant who is now a Captain (Sharpe), who threatened to arrest them if they didn’t leave.  Talk about terror.  You try walking around your town, knowing that the police, the mayor, the FBI, nobody, will do anything to protect you…walk around knowing that the people, who have gotten away with committing an arson against you and a cover-up of that arson, a media blackout, a slander campaign (which makes people hate you because they believe lies about you), will get away with it because NOBODY WILL DO THEIR JOB ACCORDING TO LAW.
