QUOTE FROM DR. RAYMON LEAKE, PASTOR OF FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF MERIDIAN, MISSISSIPPI!

Reportedly, at a Lenten Luncheon at First Baptist Church, Pastor Leake said to the Demerses, whose church had a $75,000 loss (with no insurance) on the church building that was burned, whose children have been hurt, who have had death threats made against them, who are the victims of ongoing slander, and who have had themselves and church attendees banned from eating at certain estabishments and going to certain events in the city of Meridian, Mississippi, (ongoing to this day*) all due to their religious beliefs-- "Why don't you just let it go?"

I wonder if people said that to Myrlie Evers, Medgar Evers' widow, who didn't see justice for her husband's murder for over 3 decades..."why don't you just let it go?"  I wonder if they said the same to Fannie Lee Chaney, mother of slain civil rights worker James Chaney, as she waited so many years for justice.
